Knud Brix
Born in 1980 in the small village of Juelsminde in Denmark, Knud studied journalism at the renomated Danish School of Journalism. He worked for several Danish newspapers and spent six months in Bangkok covering the region. After working for the Danish newspaper Nyhedsavisen, where he covered politics at the Danish Parliament; Knud is working for the Danish tabloid EkstraBladet, investigating long-term stories.
Kristian Djurhuus
Kristian fell in love with photography at the age of 16,while having a one year journey in the Salomon islands. He took his passion for photo-journalism along to the Danish School of Journalism.
Anders Rasmussen
Anders, a native of the Danish city Aalborg, received his first Super8 camera at the age of 12. Since that day the film passion overtook him. He graduated as a TV journalist from the Danish School of Journalism where he sharpened his editing and filming skills. While working at the Danish television station TV-2, he also realised several projects as a cinematographer, director, and editor.
Maximilian Westphal
Shortly after Max moved to Denmark to study a post-graduation program at the Aarhus School of Business in 2002, he ran into Knud.
After they shot The New Killing Fields in Cambodia, Anders joined the team. Together they launched Equator Pictures.
In 2006 Max graduated with a M.Sc. in Business Management.
Furthermore he received a scholarship to study the international program of photography at the Danish School of Journalism.
Since then, Max works as an independent producer, director, author, and photographer.
Christian Esquerre
Christian was born and raised in Ibiza in 1977. After studying economics in France (PrepaHEC), USA (Yale University), Germany and Holland, he decided to dedicate himself to film. He started as a trainee in a filmproduction (Caspari Film GmbH) and became the inhouse editor. After working for 5 years there with an emphasis on postproduction supervising, he joined Pictorion Das Werk, one of Germany´s leading postproduction facilities. There, he edited commercials, corporate films, documentaries, music videos, trailers, and short films.
At the same time, Christian has been working on private projects, as a director, editor, and motion artist, with an emphasis on documentaries, corporate films, and music-videos.
Christian Vium
Born 1980 in Denmark. Christian holds a European Master Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC, Venice and Université de Montpellier) and a joint MA in cultural Anthropology from Université de Paris VII and l’EHESS, Paris, and the University of Copenhagen. Photography and documentary film has been an integrated part of his studies, working in countries like Afghanistan, Australia, Brazil, Burma, China, Kosovo, Mauritania, Mali, South Africa, Thailand and throughout Europe, on projects emphasizing issues related to human rights, nationbuilding, migration and urban marginalization which have been awarded a number of international prizes. Based in Copenhagen as freelance photographer, sound editor, and researcher on feature documentary films.
