About Equatorpictures.

Equatorpictures was founded in 2004 by Knud Brix, Kristian Djurhuus, Anders Rasmussen, and Maximilian Westphal.

The founders met at the Danish School of Journalism and shared the common passion of combining documentaries, and films with ambitious journalism, and visual curiosity.

In 2006, Christian Esquerre and Christian Vium joined EquatorPictures. They supported the team with their experiences and know how in directing, editing, sound, and anthropology.

The team cooperates with a list of collaboration partners, such as journalists, newspapers, scientists, translators, NGO's, and corporate socially responsible companies, and institutions.

The core objective is to produce quality films and journalism in a way that encourages the audience to review their image about ongoing matters, the developing world, and crisis areas. The concept secures a high level of causality.
